Funding Abortion?

In his address to a joint session of Congress earlier this month, President Obama said:

And one more misunderstanding I want to clear up - under our plan, no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions, and federal conscience laws will remain in place.

Joe Wilson could have shouted, "You Lie!" again at this point, but chose not to.

Today, Democrats again blocked a Republican amendment that would forbid use of federal funds for abortions.

So, is there a misunderstanding? I don't think so. Just because the bill doesn't affirmatively fund abortions, doesn't mean it won't happen. Democrats have thwarted every attempt to block them.

Let's not forget that Obama used to work for ACORN. And we know how they feel about abortion...

I think it's amazing how many "misunderstandings" we seem to have with the president.

I have posted this elsewhere, but I done think it can be repeated often enough.

Just a note to seniors and those with chronic health conditions. For decades now the left has taken every opportunity to telling people (especially young people) that no one should be burdened with having to bear and be responsible for an unwanted child.

If the lie is allowed to continue unchallenged, and to government is allowed to continue to pay for abortions, how long do you think it will be before the same people will start telling young people that no one should be burdened with having to bear the responsibility of providing care for the old and sickly amongst us?
