Obama's True Feelings on Taxes

I was re-watching Barack Obama's interview with Bill O'Reilly yesterday. I noticed something interesting.

O'Reilly stated that Obama was planning on raising taxes on the wealthy. Obama's joking reply: "Just you Bill. I think you make too much money."

I think Obama let something slip when he made that statement. He doesn't want to tax "the rich" because they can afford it. He wants to tax them more because they "make too much money."

That, my friends, is socialism.

Obama plans to raise income and payroll taxes on anyone making $150,000 per year or more. Does anyone think a person, a couple, or a small business making $150,000 is making "too much money?" Socialists do. Anything more than that necessary to live is too much - and the surplus must be given to those who make too little; for the good of the community and all the people in it.

Sadly, no one has noticed this comment. Obama's slip of the mask has gone ignored. But, hopefully it will not be his last. And the next one might just be glaring enough to show people who Obama really is and what he really believes in.

What I find interesting about all these socialist-leaning liberals is the fact that they all have money, too. Does Obama think he owes the IRS $3,850,000 for last year since he had a total reported income of $4 million? Because, as President Bush said, they'll gladly accept a check.

People are generally liberals for two reasons:
1) they have no money
2) they feel guilty about having money (but they don't give it up voluntarily, so they have to be forced through taxes)

Mike Huckabee said they instituted a voluntary "tax me more" system in Arkansas and only like three people ever said they wanted to be taxed more. There are a lot of people who want to increase taxes...they don't want to be paying more (through charitable contributions, etc.) so they want everyone to have to pay.

I wonder what would happen to all the people that support welfare or universal healthcare if we paid for those systems based on voluntary contributions. You think anywould would donate to them?

I love the looks I get from folks when I tell them I think FDR was one of the worst Presidents in history. Sure, what he did seemed all right at the time, but two things:

1) If he was such a great leader, and government programs are so great why did it still take ten years and a major war to pull us out of the depression?

2) We're stuck with all those social programs he levied on us. Once you introduce a government-paid program, it is nearly impossible to get rid of it.

I did like Huckabee's "tax me more" program, which was just about the only thing I liked about him. It proves a very valid point. I just never understood the mentality of wanting to give money away to the poor, but only if the government handles it first.
