It's the type of joke we all make, whether we should or not. Of course, the fact that he is the President of the United States means he needs to be more careful, but it was just one of those things that is getting blown out of proportion.
What really bothers me about this issue is the fact that Bush would have been crucified for saying the exact same thing.
you are exactly right - if Bush had said it, he would have been lambasted. And it really goes to show that Obama can't be off his teleprompter because you never know what he might say ("lipstick on a pig")
